Simpson Technologies Names Exec. V.P.

Strobl will supervise engineering, service, technical, and operations

June 14, 2006 -- Metalcasting equipment supplier Simpson Technologies recently promoted Scott Strobl to executive vice president. "Scott is universally recognized by our customers as a world-class technical authority in many areas of foundry technology," stated Simpson president Bruce Dienst.

Strobl will supervise all of the company's engineering, service, technical, and operations functions.

He earned a B.S. in Technical Education and M.S. in Industrial Technology from Pittsburg States University in Kansas. He is a member of the American Foundry Society and has served as a member of several AFS Technical Committees.

Strobl has published several technical articles and made a number of presentations at AFS chapter meetings and technical conferences worldwide. In 1999, he was awarded with the AFS Service Citation.

Based in Aurora, IL, Simpson Technologies Corp. designs and manufactures technology and services for the global metalcasting industry.
