Software developer Flow Science Inc. has entered into an agreement with Poland's Econocap Polska Sp. zo. o., a CAD/CAM/CAE software supplier, to market and support the Flow Science product line. Read more

ArvinMeritor Inc. signed a strategic partnership with Shanghai-based Yutong Group Co. Ltd. to supply drivetrain components for buses and coaches in China. Read more

Tweaking the Sand Process
Oberdorfer L.L.C. has adjusted the sand casting part of the shell molding process — and found startling results. The company’s patent-pending Rock Shell process finishes its sand casting in a one-piece flow. Later, Oberdorfer uses recycled water pumped from cooling towers to cool the castings in a closed-loop system. In all, the foundry is making some notable progress in its time and energy saving efforts. Read more
