Wood Joins Citation to Head Light Metals & Machining Group

Birmingham-based Citation Corp. has recruited Cary B. Wood as the new group vice president for its Light Metals & Machining Group. He will take over responsibility for Citation’s Light Metals manufacturing plants in five states, operating from Novi, MI.

Wood has held a series of operating and executive positions with General Motors, UT Automotive, Elkay Manufacturing, and Formica. He holds a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering from Purdue University, and a master’s degree in operational management from Lawrence University. “He comes to Citation after a long and successful career involving engineering, manufacturing, and executive assignments in major U.S. and international organizations,” the company announced.

Citation designs, develops. and manufactures cast, forged, and machined components for capital- and durable-goods industries, including automotive and industrial markets. Products include aluminum, steel, and iron castings; steel forgings; and machined and assembled components for automobiles and light, medium, and heavy trucks; off-highway construction equipment; agricultural equipment; pumps; compressors; industrial valves; machine tools; aircraft; oil tools; and other durable goods.
