The GE AddWorks team worked to use AM to improve the acoustic effect of the Odyssey R-Ball putter by using a Concept Laser M2 EBM system add in 17-4PH stainless geometric details that were too difficult to achieve by conventional casting.
GE Additive’s Concept Laser subsidiary develops laser-based, electron-beam melting systems (EBM) for metal additive manufacturing. Its M Line Factory LPS a plant-scale system will be commercially available in 2019.

GE Additive’s Concept Laser subsidiary will introduce a plant-scale electron-beam melting (EBM) system for metal additive manufacturing in 2019. The M Line Factory LPS will have a 500x500x400 mm<+>3</+> (X-Y-Z) build envelope. Expanded Z-axis dimensions are under development.
