Lightweight, high-intensity device for NDT inspection
The TRITAN 365 is compact and lightweight (16 oz. / 454 g). A three-way rocker switch controls different light sources, and the angled body ensures fatigue-free inspections, according to Spectronics.

SPECTRONICS CORP. introduced its Spectroline® TRITAN 365 recently, “an ultra-high-intensity,” multi-LED, broad-beam UV-A inspection lamp. It is designed with three “ultra-high-flux” UV-A LEDs for NDT inspection, plus a white light LED to illuminate dark areas. It produces a nominal steady-state 365-nm intensity of 9,000 µW/cm2 at a distance of 15 inches (38 cm). Also, it meets MIL and ASTM intensity specs for FPI and MPI, the developer noted.

At 16 oz (454 g), the TRITAN 365 is compact and lightweight. A three-way rocker switch simplifies control of the light sources, and a lightweight, angled lamp body helps to minimize users’ fatigue during inspections: A push of a button turns the lamp on instantly at full power, according to Spectronics.

A rubber bumper with a Borofloat glass lens protects the LEDs from damage in high-risk situations. A built-in fan keeps the LEDs cool, providing optimal light output during sustained use. The TRITAN 365 has a choice of an 8-ft (2.4 m) or extra-long 20-ft (6.1 m) power cord with an AC plug, and is available in 120V, 230V, 240V and 100V models.

Also available is the TRITAN 365M portable, battery-operated AC/DC lamp kit. Along with the TRITAN lamp, it has a rechargeable NiMH battery pack with adjustable shoulder strap and belt loop, AC cord set, smart AC charger and UV-absorbing glasses, all packed in a padded carrying case.
