Pulse-Jet Timer for Baghouses, Fabric Filters

Cuts compressed-air usage versus pulse or continuous cleaning
The IntelliPULSE control algorithm automatically adjusts the off-time between pulses and pulse duration, to maintain constant pressure drop across the filters.

The FILTERSENSE reports that its IntelliPULSE timers for baghouses and cartridge dust collectors save energy and improve process control. A range of Fieldbus, PLC, and OEM control panel connectivity is possible with as sturdy, modular DIN rail package.

The developer maintains that IntelliPULSE is the only field proven control algorithm that automatically adjusts the off-time between pulses and pulse duration to maintain constant pressure drop across the filters and thus constant airflow while using the least amount of compressed air to minimize energy costs. Compressed air use can be reduced by 15-40% over traditional pulse cleaning and up to 90% over continuous cleaning. IntelliPULSE also extends filter life and can lower emissions by controlling the filter cake, according to FilterSense.

Additional design features include a modular DIN rail design, with fieldbus connectivity; “intelligent” pressure control via a single setpoint; DSP-control short-circuit protection; programmable pattern and sequence pulsing; adjustable on/off pulse time limits, within automatic pulsing; automatic or pre-set multirow pulsing. A full range of traditional timing modes are available too, including continuous, single-cycle, cycle down, etc.
