Chinese precision caster adds 17 milling/turning lathes
American Metal & Technology, the holding company for a Chinese high-precision casting operation, reports it has increased its finishing capability with the installation of 17 new CNC Mazak lathe machines. The company says the new lathes combine milling and turning in a single unit, and are equipped with Mazak’s Mazatrol Matrix CNC control, which provides smart programming with monitoring and diagnostics. "Over the last three years we have invested in our production capacity to aid in our expansion plans, and we are enthusiastic about our business strategy,” stated president and CEO Chen Gao, president and CEO. “We have increased revenue and income generated from new customers in Europe and in the United States, as well as an increase from 30 CNC MAZAK lathes in 2006 to 40 CNC MAZAK lathes in 2007, which significantly increased our production capacity,” said Gao. “The addition of 17 new machines will increase our production capabilities by 20% in 2008.” AM&T, through subsidiaries Beijing Tong Yuan Heng Feng Technology Co. and American Metal Technology (Lang Fang) Co., manufactures of precision casting and machined products at a 12-million parts/year operation in China. It also designs and manufactures electric circuit boards for home appliances and motion controllers.
