TITAN TOOL SUPPLY INC. recently introduced its new ScopePad-200 camera and tablet computer to convert any microscope into a video microscope. Operators can view images from the microscope directly on the tablet screen and capture these images.

Because the ScopePad-200 runs on the Android 2.2 platform, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless capability, enabling users to share and email images. The “all-in-one” ScopePad-200 consists of a 2-megapixel CMOS sensor camera (1,600×1,200 resolution) attached to a 7-inch Android tablet with 800×460 resolution on a G sensor multi-point capacitance touch screen. It can be attached to any “C” mount adapter for trinocular microscopes or adapted to any stereo or monocular microscope with the addition of the Titan Tool EA-200 adapter.

The EA-200 adapter has a 0.5X lens and 23-mm, 30-mm and 30.5-mm eye tube adapters to fit most standard microscope eye tubes. The ScopePad-200 supports a variety of standard photo and video file formats, Titan Tool indicated, and can operate at a wide range of ambient temperatures from -22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C). It has a 90° adjustable wide viewing angle, is powered by a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery, and features a built-in microphone and two built-in Class D digital power amplified speakers.

The storage device 4G NandFlash support for external TF (microSD) card has a maximum capacity of 16GB.
