Sanders' experience includes sales, consulting, project engineering

Hormel Foods Corp. has appointed former FATA Aluminium Inc. national sales manager Greg Sanders as its new sales agent for the GMBOND product line. Sanders is also the founder of and director of technical services for Entelechy Inc., a foundry consulting firm that offers cost-reduction strategies and effective process strategies. In addition, he has nearly a decade's experience as a senior project engineer at the General Motors Technical Center where he led development teams working on various sand casting processes.

GMBOND Sand Binder is a non-toxic, protein-based product for advanced thermal degradation. Water soluble, it eliminates the need for bake out or mechanical hammering and can be reground and reused. Hormel emphasizes that reclamation, disposal, and landfill costs are "dramatically reduced." A demonstration project featuring the material is underway at GM's Saginaw, MI, plant.

Sanders said "The GMBOND process is an exciting opportunity for the foundry industry to increase its competitiveness and efficiency. I'm looking forward to working with the many foundries that are looking to improve their bottom lines."
