Range of offerings will include new sand-core technology

Rimrock Corp. has agreed to serve as North American distributor for the Fill line of foundry machinery and plant production systems. Fill, an Austrian company, develops “high-tech, cost-effective solutions” to help lower cycle times and increase productivity.

Based in Columbus, OH, Rimrock supplies automation equipment for high-pressure diecasting and foundry operations. It’s offerings include ladles, sprayers, extractors, and turnkey robotic solutions. And, Rimrock is a strategic partner to ABB Robotics and the sole certified ABB parts and warranty provider in North America.

Rimrock will offer the full range of Fill products, including the swingmaster sm3 for sand-core applications. The swingmaster sm3’s integrated “corecracker” combines the decoring machine and hammer-station equipment, which results in better decoring performance and flexibility and lower investment and maintenance costs.

“I am pleased that Rimrock will begin distributing Fill technology throughout North America’s foundries,” said Tom DeJong, Rimrock president and CEO. “In today’s economy, it is vital that our foundries remain aggressive and competitive in the global marketplace. By providing foundries with the latest in technological advancements, we are empowering our customers with the most effective cost saving systems and the latest application designs to efficiently increase production and create better quality parts.”
