Tupy Casting announced plans to increase production capacity for engine blocks by nearly 25%, from 300,000 to 370,000 metric tons/year. The core of this investment plan will be to increase production of compacted graphite iron. Read more

Accuride, Benecor Target DEF Market
Accuride Corp. is forming joint venture with Benecor Inc. to build a “diesel exhaust fluid dispensing infrastructure.” The company says that the partners see an opportunity to develop systems for distributors, suppliers, and consumers to store and access diesel exhaust fluids (DEF). Read more

More Heat-Treating Capacity for Trojan
Trojan Heat Treat Co., in Homer, MI, has added a tip-up furnace to expand its heat-treating offerings. The tip-up furnace is capable of handling 92,000-lb loads. Read more
