The PM 100 simplifies the need to assess and compare baghouse compartments, with on-screen logarithmic bar graphs, or optional remote FilterWare software. For monitoring mass emission trends in the common outlet a DynaCharge processor module can be added for advanced particulate monitoring capability, with automatic self-checks.

The FILTERSENSE Model PM 100 continuous particulate emission monitor and baghouse filter leak detector package incorporates automatic self-checks (zero and span) to automate EPA MACT requirements for periodic instrument validation. Benefits include stack monitoring, detecting filter leaks for maintenance, eliminating cleanup costs, preventing the escape of valuable powders and protecting downstream equipment such as blowers and HEPA filters.

The PM 100 uses FilterSense’s “virtually maintenance-free, particulate flow-sensing technology” and MICS (modular instrumentation and control system) platform, offering a combination of performance with instrument modularity and functionality.

Both features add to the field-proven induction-sensing and protected-probe technologies that the developer indicates will enhance reliability over older opacity and triboelectic technologies particularly in difficult applications (e.g., coal, steel, , carbon black, lead smelters, and others.)
