| Intermet Liquidation Underway Two Intermet Ferrous Group foundries in Virginia — the Archer Creek Foundry in Lynchburg and the New River Foundry in Radford — are marked for shutdown, according to local reports. Additionally, two nonferrous diecasting operations — in Monroe City and Palmyra, MO — reportedly have been sold to Continental Castings L.L.C., for an undisclosed price. Read more |
| OSHA Cites New Hampshire Foundry OSHA states that Franklin Non-Ferrous Foundry Inc. faces a total of $254,000 in fines for 17 alleged willful and serious violations found during comprehensive OSHA inspections that began in April of this year. Read more |
| Steel Foundry Earns ABS Certification Southern Cast Products Inc., a steel jobbing foundry in Meridian, MS, has been added to the American Bureau of Shipping’s Approved List of casting facilities. Read more |
