Green sand foundry meets truck builder’s 50-PPM standard Fifth-consecutive year DAF, Kenworth, Peterbilt NADCAP standards, too

U.S. Aluminum Castings LLC has been credited by Paccar for superior quality performance during 2013, recognizing that the foundry delivered parts and components in compliance with the commercial truck builder’s 50-PPM standard for product quality. It is the fifth consecutive year that Entiat, WA-based USAC has earned this recognition.

“Since customer satisfaction is the final measure of quality, warranty has also been considered to determine award recipients,” Paccar stated in a notification letter.

Paccar, Bellevue, WA, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of commercial trucks, including the DAF, Kenworth, and Peterbilt product lines. “Throughout the world, DAF, Kenworth, and Peterbilt trucks have earned a reputation for unsurpassed quality,” the letter continued. “Much of the credit for this goes to Paccar suppliers like U.S. Castings LLC who meet or exceed Paccar’s quality expectations.

“Unfortunately Paccar does not recognize documented on-time performance,” noted U.S. Casting president John Koegler, “but if they did we would have received the same five-year award for 100% on-time delivery.”

U.S. Aluminum Castings produces no-bake, permanent mold, lost foam, and green sand castings for aerospace, defense, and general commercial markets, as well as commercial truck manufacturers. It is certified as a supplier by the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program for heat treatment, non-destructive testing, AS9100C quality management systems and ITAR #M21916.

The Washington State foundry operates as a unit of the Philadelphia-based Advanced Metals Group, which also includes Ross Aluminum Castings, Sidney, OH, and Mabry Castings, an iron foundry in Beaumont, TX.
