January 11, 2007 — Accuride Corp. plans to invest an estimated $25 million to improve its aluminum-wheel manufacturing capabilities, including two new hydraulic presses. No equipment contractor has been announced for those systems, which the producer describes as "state-of-the-art," and are likely to be installed later this year at Accuride's Erie, PA, operation. Start-up is expected early in 2008.
The company also indicated plans for "other tactical improvements to facilities and equipment" for serving the aluminum wheel market. Other changes involving plants and equipment will be implemented over the course of this year.

Accuride's strategic plan focuses on providing our customers enhanced value through efficient, reliable capacity, outstanding quality and industry leading delivery performance."
Accuride Corp. manufactures cast metal and other assemblies for commercial vehicles, including wheels and wheel-end components. It also supplies ttruck body and chassis parts and seating assemblies, all under brand names that include Accuride, Gunite, Imperial, Bostrom, Fabco, and Brillion.
