Messe Düsseldorf North America and KCI Publishing plan to introduce a new trade show in 2011, Valve World Expo Americas. It is scheduled to take place June 21-22, 2011, at the Woodlands Waterways Marriott Hotel & Convention Center near Houston. Both partners have already cooperated to stage the biennial Valve World Expo held in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Joachim Schfer, managing director of Messe Düsseldorf, said Valve World Expo Americas will be an important event for flow-control professionals. “It also fits in perfectly with our portfolio of metallurgy trade fairs staged here in Düsseldorf, as well as around the world. I am confident of Valve World Expo America’s great growth potential.”
Among many other events, Messe Düsseldorf is the organizer of the quadrennial GIFA trade show for metalcasting technology. It will stage Valve World Expo (which it acquired from KCI Publishing in 2009) in Düsseldorf next month, November 30-December 2, 2010. For that event, the organizer says 530 exhibitors from 35 countries have reserved 145,880 square feet of exhibit space to date.
The partners will rely on their expertise and experience from Valve World Expo in Europe to develop the Valve World Expo Americas 2011 as an event for the valve industry in the Western Hemisphere. They indicate that attendees will get an overview of technical innovations for valves, valve-related products and valve–related piping products, seals and sealing materials, as well as engineering, Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) software, S.I.S., and services. There will be presentations targeted to professionals involved in shipbuilding, on/offshore oil and gas industries, chemical and power industries, marine and offshore industries, as well as machine and plant engineering, and food industries.
