Rosta Starts China Aluminum Wheel Plant

$100-million operation to supply U.S., European OEMs

August 7, 2006 -- Rosta International Ltd., a Taiwan-based producer of steel and aluminum automotive wheels, has opened a new manufacturing plant in Suzhou, China. Rosta also has plants in Fuzhou, China, in Taiwan, and in Japan.

Rosta is a division of Yuan Feng Industrial Co. Ltd. It invested a reported $100 million in the Suzhou Yuan Chen Alloy Wheel Manufacturing Plant, which has a capacity of 5 million wheels/year, and is seen as supplying wheels to automotive OEMs and aftermarket customers in the U.S. and Europe, and in Asia.

Jerry Huang, chairman and CEO, stated: "At a time when the automotive industry is experiencing a serious capacity crunch particularly in the United States, we're pleased to bring this plant online to support our customers. This plant supports our ability to offer competitively-priced, state-of-the-art aluminum-wheel technology to the U.S., European, and Asian markets."
