The Lawton Standard Co. continued to expand its cast-products holding company with its purchase of AMSCO Wear Products Inc. That Wilmington, DE, business develops and supplies wear-resistant castings for heavy equipment used in steel recycling, mining, and waste-to-energy sectors.
The cost of the acquisition was not announced.

I know this will be a good fit because they embody many of the same values that we do in the Lawton family.”
Since 2020, Lawton Standard has assembled a “platform” of seven ferrous foundries producing different ranges of castings in various iron and steel grades. The different operations also offer different finishing and machining services for their product lines.
In November 2022, Lawton Standard added American Iron & Alloys LLC, to the portfolio – a Wisconsin business that processes and distributes cast iron bars, bronze bars, and other metal parts, and provides finishing services to manufacturers.
