Hill & Griffith Purchased by Execs

Nov. 14, 2023
Mike Lawry and Ryan Canfield have nearly 50 years of combined service with the metalcasting chemicals and lubricants supplier.

The assets of Cincinnati-based Hill and Griffith Co. have been acquired by chief operations officer Mike Lawry and exec. v.p. Sales and Marketing Ryan Canfield in a private transaction. Their purchase also included HG Logistics, a third-party transportation logistics business. Together, Lawry and Canfield have nearly 50 years of service with Hill and Griffith, which is a specialty supplier of metalcasting chemicals and lubricants, including die and mold release agents, mold coatings, core and mold adhesives, and other specialty chemicals.

Lawry has 32 years of service with the company, and now becomes its CEO, and president of HG Logistics.

Canfield has been with Hill and Griffith 17 years and now becomes its president, and CEO for HG Logistics.

The company’s other personnel will remain in position, and all its products, services, formulations, patents, and trademarks will remain.

"The company has a tremendous reputation for integrity, quality, and support; the same can be said for the people that work for it," Lawry stated. "We strive to continue to build upon that sterling reputation and our 127-year history—all with little to no disruptions to our customers."
