Aqueous Parts Washing & Drying System

MECWASH SYSTEMS introduced the Duo 400 – a compact, fully automatic and self-contained aqueous cleaning system that meets the highest “visually clean and dry” cleanliness and inspection standards.  It recommends the machine for work cells or within a centralized layout: the Duo 400 measures just 60(W)x64(D)x89(H) inches, so it occupies a small footprint.  This versatile single-chamber rotational cleaning system features immersion/spray wash, spray rinse and hot air dry.

MecWash Systems offers aqueous cleaning equipment for cleaning applications in aerospace, automotive, hydraulic, pneumatic, medical, and precision machining industries. The MecWash aqueous technology cleans without solvents or emissions, and is effective cleaning both large and small components in purpose-built fixtures or standard size stainless steel baskets and plastic totes.

The Duo wash chamber includes over 100 high-volume jets that thoroughly penetrate and saturate the workload at over 130 gallons per minute.  The temperature of both the wash and rinse waters can be set at the operator’s discretion between 140º-190ºF. Full rotation of the workload at 3 rpm exposes all surfaces to the wash and rinse solutions to ensure effective cleaning, draining, and drying.

Alternately, parts with delicate geometries can be programmed to gently oscillate from side to side.

The unit’s flood and spray wash cycles are followed by the spray rinse cycle. Afterward, a high velocity blow dryer raises temperature up to 285ºF, to quickly dry all faces of the given components’ surfaces as they rotate or oscillate during the dry cycle.

For companies producing iron and steel products, MecWash manufactures a complete line of aqueous cleaning chemicals with corrosion inhibition, which will protect against rust for up to two weeks after aqueous cleaning.

“The Duo 400 technology has proven itself effective for companies like Rolls Royce Aerospace, Cummins, SPS Technologies, and others,” stated North American operations manager Bill Westbrook. “We are excited to bring it to the North American marketplace.  The Duo is a versatile cleaning system that can achieve high standards of cleanliness in a small factory footprint, and it can do this without breaking the bank.”
