Intermet Names Sales/Marketing VP

Lovell will direct business development for new Die Cast unit

Fort Worth, TX-based Intermet Corp. promoted Anthony (Tony) R. Lovell to v.p. - Sales and Marketing for the Intermet Die Cast Group. Lovell had been director of Sales for Intermet's Aluminum Group, and director of business development for Powertrain and Commercial Vehicle Systems.

Intermet is a metalcasting organization that produces components for automotive, commercial vehicle, and industrial markets Its Die Cast Group was formed in June by a combination of the former Die Casting and Missouri Groups, and includes six plants at Jackson, TN, New Hope, MN, Pulaski, TN, two plants at Monroe City, MO, and another at Palmyra, MO.

Lovell's responsibilities include business development for the group's six plants, which produce automotive components and assemblies. His office will be in Detroit.

Before joining Intermet, Lovell spent 10 years with Citation Corp. as an account manager and director of Business Development. He earned a M.B.A. from the Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University, and a bachelor 's degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa.
