NADCA Names Best Plants for Diecasting Safety
Two U.S. diecasting operations have been recognized by the North American Die Casting Assn. for sustained success in maintaining plant safety, part of NADCA’s 2026 Safety Awards presentation. NADCA’s Safety Award Program honors corporate members that maintain records that exceed the average U.S. national safety standards for all manufacturing during a 12-month period.
The two highlighted operations are the Stellantis - Kokomo (IN) Casting Plant, which will be recognized for achieving 10 years of “outstanding safety practices”; and Castool Tooling Systems, Uxbridge, ON, Canada will be recognized for five years of outstanding safety practices.
“NADCA is pleased to recognize Castool Tooling Systems and Stellantis - Kokomo Casting Plant for achieving a NADCA Safety Award multiple years in a row,” stated NADCA project manager Beau Glim. “These companies created a culture of safety awareness and improvement to keep everyone who walks through their doors safe. We hope they continue this success and that more companies will follow their example in the coming years.”
The annual NADCA Die Casting Safety Awards are based on safety records that each company submits to the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for the previous year of business. The companies will be recognized at NADCA’s Die Casting Congress & Tabletop event in September, in Grand Rapids, MI.

The DART for nonferrous metal diecasting foundries in 2024 was 2.1, so any companies that receive a NADCA Safety Award have safety records remarkably better than average!
