Citation Earns Navistar Supplier Award

May 29, 2009
Recognized for quality, deliver, and cost on powertrain and chassis components
Metalcasting group Citation Corp. has earned the 2008 Navistar Inc., Diamond Supplier Award, from the engine, truck, and equipment manufacturer. Navistar presents the award to suppliers who exceed its performance expectations for quality, delivery, and cost during a particular year, and also acknowledges the suppliers’ efforts to align themselves with Navistar’s strategic business goals and demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement. Five Citation plants supply chassis and powertrain components and systems to Navistar for its medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The plants are in Bessemer and Columbiana, AL, Briscoe, NC, and Berlin and Menomonee Falls, WI. Citation has six other plants, as well, where it manufactures and machines castings and produces some assemblies, for transportation and automotive markets. "We're honored to receive this recognition from Navistar, as it validates the hard work of our employees and their commitment to superior performance at all levels," stated Citation CEO Doug Grimm.
