Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH reported it will take over the Lüber GmbH core-shooting product line as of July 1, continuing a cooperative arrangement begun last year with that Swiss company. “The aim of the next development stage of the partnership is to market new systems and to safeguard the existing installed base over the long term, further develop it technologically, and offer customers a stable outlook,” according to Laempe’s announcement.

When introduced in September 2024, the partnership aimed to address the two companies’ rising costs and technological changes in coremaking, plus global competitive pressures.

With headquarters in Barleben/Meitzendorf, Germany, Laempe Mössner Sinto GmbH offers a portfolio of coremaking products and services, including additive and hybrid manufacturing options. Laempe also provides technical service, retrofits, and after-sales service; and automation and machine vision technologies for metalcasting and other industrial sectors.

Lüber is a Swiss company with expertise in modular core-shooting machinery, sand mixing systems, and gas generating units.

Lüber core-shooting machines are widely used by foundries, and this installed base will be incorporated into Laempe’s organization and service structure. “Continuity will be maintained for existing customers: systems within the warranty period will continue to be supported by Lüber,” according to Laempe.

It will take over the after-sales business (service and spare parts) for Lüber core-shooting machines after the warranty period.

Laempe also will assume sales, service, and construction of new Lüber systems and will continue to develop the core-shooting machines.

In partnership, Lüber will support Laempe with service, construction, and sales of the core-shooting machines. The cooperation focuses exclusively on the core-shooting machine business.

Other Lüber products and services are not affected by the agreement.

“With Laempe, we have found a partner that brings the necessary technological depth and international set-up to sustainably continue the business around our core-shooting machines. It was important to us to find a solution that offers a long-term perspective for our customers as well as for our products,” stated Lüber managing director Wilhelm Bovens.

“The integration of the Lüber core-shooting machine business is a consistent step for us to further expand our position in the market,” André Klimm, managing director of Laempe Mössner Sinto. “At the same time, we are strategically developing Laempe further—towards a technology-open full-service provider in core production that intelligently combines classic and new processes.”
