Coolant for High-Volume Cast Iron Machining

Sept. 29, 2018
Low-foam semisynthetic, microemulsion is optimized for ferrous and some aluminum parts

MASTER FLUID SOLUTIONS’ TRIM® MicroSol® 455 is a low-foam semisynthetic, microemulsion coolant that is optimized for the high-volume machining of cast iron, ferrous, and some aluminum and nonferrous metalworking operations. MicroSol 455 prevents leaching of elemental iron and eliminates clinkering and oxidation of ferrous microfines.

“Customers switching to MicroSol 455 will see lower cost of operations due to its machining performance and long sump life.” said Ahmed Tahir, Global VP of Strategy and Marketing. “In addition, MicroSol 455 represents a new generation of products designed to reduce the regulatory compliance burden for our global customers with its compliance to all major registries.”

Operations that regularly machine high volumes of cast iron will appreciate that, in addition to its superior performance, MicroSol 455 also provides extended sump life, benefitting the bottom line.

MicroSol 455 also provides superior corrosion inhibition on cast iron and eliminates “hot chips” and clinkering problems. Additionally, it keeps machines clean while leaving a soft fluid film for ease of cleaning and reduced maintenance. MicroSol 455 requires no special disposal or recycling.
