VIKING BLAST & WASH SYSTEMS introduced the new SH3636 Spinner Hanger blast cleaning machine with a 36x36 work chamber, and powered by two VK PowerMax 1SHP blast wheels running at 3,525 rpm. This redesign of the developer’s previous spinner-hanger model, it’s capable of simultaneous loading and unloading for increased blasting production to a continuous flow.
The wheel has a power potential of 310 lbs. of abrasive per minute with a velocity of approximately 295 feet per second.
The blast cabinet rotates a primary drum consisting of two separate compartments, to allow for continuous processing of parts for manual loading and unloading of the front compartment without system shutdown.
The drum is completely lined with quarter-inch thick manganese alloy on the sides and half-inch-thick cast chrome/moly material directly in front of the blast wheels. Each compartment contains one fixture in front of the blast wheels, with a hook capacity of 750 lbs.
