GF Casting Solutions agreed to cooperate with Mexico-based Bocar Group to combine their capabilities in the global high-pressure diecastings market. Specific actions were not detailed, but in an announcement, GF stated the new partnership “reflects the commitment … to develop and invest in new technologies and services to support customers in North America, Europe, and Asia on their way to sustainable mobility.
“Both partners will leverage their strong R&D, know-how, and production facilities around the world,” the statement added.
Bocar Group manufactures aluminum and plastic components for vehicle powertrain or propulsion systems, chassis bodies, and interiors.
"By combining the technical capabilities of two pioneers in light metal diecasting we will be able to bring higher value to our customers. We look forward to our joint projects in order to even better serve our current and new customers on a global scale based on the longstanding expertise of both partners," explained Marcus Baur, president of Bocar Group.
GF Casting Solutions operates metalcasting plants in Europe and China, producing ferrous and aluminum-alloy parts for light vehicles, commercial vehicles, off-highway vehicles, aerospace, energy, and industrial markets.
Until April, GF had a presence in the North American market through its former interest in the GF Linamar LLC joint venture.
