TraceBoss was introduced several years ago, gaining popularity for simple and powerful shop-floor analysis on the shop floor. TraceBoss+ added crosshatch measurement alongside surface roughness analysis.

"TraceBoss and TraceBoss+ gave users a straightforward interface and parameter set, significantly extending the capabilities of common, handheld roughness gages," stated DMS president Mark Malburg. "That simplicity was a great success, but we reached a tipping point where many users were requesting even greater power. TraceBossPro moves beyond the locked-down capabilities, adding configurability and analysis power."

TraceBossPro adds the ability to customize measurement set-ups and switch between them with one click. Each configuration includes its own scaling, filtering, display options, etc.

Hundreds of ISO 21920 and ASME surface texture parameters can be selected in any combination with optional user specification limits. Measurement configurations can then be locked to ensure consistency and traceability.

TraceBossPro also introduces new analytical power. For example, the ISO 16610 spline filter has been added to enable full-length measurement of a surface, which is essential for waviness analysis.
