California diecaster ADC Aerospace acquired Hyatt Die Cast & Engineering Corp., a manufacturer of aluminum and zinc diecastings in a private transaction. The combination “brings together the two largest aerospace and defense-focused turnkey diecasting businesses,” according to the buyer’s announcement.

The two firms’ operations will be combined at the ADC Aerospace campus in Buena Park, CA, though other terms of the transaction - including the cost - were not revealed.

The two companies have similar profiles. Both concentrate their manufacturing on diecastings for aerospace, defense, and medical device markets.

ADC Aerospace specializes in high-pressure diecasting of aluminum and zinc components, and also offers CNC machining and mechanical assembly. The Buena Park campus covers 115,000 square feet, with 25 high-pressure diecasting machines and more than 50 CNC milling and turning machines. In addition to aluminum and zinc alloys, it casts stainless steel, Inconel, brass, and other materials.

Hyatt Die Cast & Engineering is a family-owned business headquartered in Cypress, CA, with more than 150,000 square feet of manufacturing space and a range of high-pressure diecasting machines rated from 250 to 1,650 tons. It also offers CNC machining and finishing services, and in-house tooling capabilities.
