ALLEGRO INDUSTRIES’ new Allegro EZ AIR Flex grinding/welding PAPR is a complete particulate system for industrial applications where combined respiratory, eye, and face protection are required. The lightweight welding helmet features a durable flip-up visor to expose a grinding shield that maintains respiratory protection, so workers can continue grinding or inspecting welds. It complies with ANSI Z87.1+ and CAN/CSA Z94.3 for face-shield/eye protection, is CE certified, and is NIOSH approved!
Weighing less than 3 lbs., the complete system is powered by a motorized, Lithium-ion battery unit that supplies a constant supply of fresh, filtered air over the user’s face. At an APF level of 25, it creates optimal protective pressure inside the respirator head top keeping away particulates (dust, steel, manganese, stainless steel, galvanized steel, chromium, cadmium, lead and ozone).

The Allegro EZ Air Flex grinding/welding powered air-purifying system includes a welding shield made of Dupont® tough, flame-retardant nylon that withstands extreme cold and heat. It is large enough to accommodate safety glasses and features an adjustable and durable, Pera-Lok ratcheting head gear with replaceable ultra-soft sweat band. Additional features include a 100%-cotton, fire-retardant neck shield to prevent arc burns; a flexible quick-disconnect breathing tube and FR cover; auto-darkening filters; a blower assembly with eight airflow settings, audible, visual and vibration alarms; a convenient single replacement NIOSH-approved HEPA filter that filters 99.97% particulates; an adjustable and lightweight FR belt; a battery charger and Lithium-ion rechargeable battery with up to eight hours usage; and storage bag.
