EuroGuss 2022 Postponed to June 2022

Dec. 14, 2021
The biennial trade show and conference for diecasting equipment and technologies will wait for six months, citing “a further dynamic upswing in Covid-19 infections”.

Organizers of EuroGuss 2022 have rescheduled the biennial diecasting technology event until June 8-10, 2022, citing “a further dynamic upswing in Covid-19 infections, which may lead to changes in legislation affecting events at short notice.” By the original schedule, NürnbergMesse would have stage the expo and technical conference January 18-20, in Nuremburg, Germany.

The location and nearly all other pertinent details for the June event are the same as originally planned in January. However, organizers plan to present the European Die Casting Award as part of a live-streamed progam on January 18, as part of a wider discussion between diecasters and industry partners.

The announcement included comments by officials of co-sponsoring trade associations and representatives of exhibitor businesses, endorsing the postponement.

“By postponing EuroGuss 2022 we are taking on board the concerns of many exhibitors and industry participants with regard to holding an in-person event in January 2022,” according to Christopher Boss, director of EuroGuss at NürnbergMesse.

He continued: “The political imponderables and the dynamic infection numbers in particular, and the resulting travel bans for many visitors raised doubts about whether it would be possible to meet exhibitor and visitor expectations. We therefore decided to hold EuroGuss 2022 at a time in the summer when infection numbers in previous years have always been at a much lower level.”
