Mixers, Pumps Meet Tier 4 Final Standard

Dec. 16, 2019
User-friendly, low maintenance shotcrete and gunite systems in full compliance with latest emission standards

BLASTCRETE EQUIPMENT LLC, a manufacturer of shotcrete and gunite mixers and pumps, completed the transition to Tier 4 Final-compliance for its full product line, including RS180 Mixer-Pump and MX-10 Mixer-Pump. Recently finalized upgrades for Tier 4 Final-compliant products continue to feature the user-friendly, low maintenance design but allow equipment operators to stay ahead of changing emission standards.

"Tier 4 Final" refers to the exhaust emissions standards for diesel engines sold in the United States; similar standards are in effect under different titles in most of Europe and Japan. Tier 4 engines are expected to reduce particulate matter (PM), which are associated adverse health effects on human respiratory systems; and nitrogen-oxide (NOx) emissions, which are known to contribute to formation of ground-level ozone.

The Blastcrete MX-10 mixer-pump offers faster and higher ROI on demanding refractory wet shotcrete and pump cast applications, in foundries, power generation, petrochemical, steel mills and cement manufacturing facilities. The closed-loop hydraulic circuit delivers greater speed and torque to quickly and effectively mix dense refractory materials in less than two minutes. The unit is powered by a Tier 4 Final 108-horsepower JCB water-cooled diesel engine.

The Blastcrete Tier 4 Final RS180 mixer-pump for gypsum flooring underlayment, grouting, cellular concrete, and some wet shotcrete applications. It's powered by a 55-horsepower Yanmar water-cooled diesel engine and offers variable speeds (0-18 cubic yards per hour) with long-distance and high-volume pumping capabilities. The adjustable pumping pressure adds durability and maximizes the longevity of wear components, extending the life of the machine.

“Our engineering team works to incorporate the latest technology, such as Tier 4 Final engines, to meet customers’ specifications and industry regulations,” according to Tripp Farrell, Blastcrete Equipment LLC president. “Engineering and customizations are two product areas that we will always be adapting to keep customers ahead of the curve.” Learn more at www.blastcrete.com
